Knowing that Hamish had a background as a CFO in award-winning high growth companies, Vistage members and Chairs asked Hamish to speak to them to increase their knowledge of finance and to enable them to ask better questions of their Finance teams. This is how his Speaker career was born. 

Contrary to what many people think, business finance is not difficult. It is built on very simple principles. If you understand Newton’s third law of motion you understand double entry book-keeping. That said, self-limiting beliefs abound in this area. Too often he hears cries of "I don't understand finance", "What should I expect from my FD", "I need to learn how to interpret accounts". The aim of this session is to answer those questions to the extent that leaders have confidence enough to ask better questions and feel able to hold their finance teams to account.
